Toronto, September 19th - 2022 Thank you for your hospitality. The accommodations were very
comfortable. Everything was spotless. All of your efforts were
appreciated by all of us.
But what really stood out for me was your sincere desire to please your
guests. Admittedly, our group posed some challenges. I'm a picky eater
(no omelettes, thank you, and don't even think about a quiche) and
Janna apparently doesn't eat at all! But the food was really wonderful
and we couldn't have been happier.
We will definitely be returning to Niagara on the lake and, when we do,
we would love to stay with you again.
And, yes, we will recommend you to friends.
Thank you, again.
Chris and Elizabeth , November 5th - 2021 Excellent place!
We stayed during COVID and I was not sure of what to expect, however Maria took it seriously and we felt very comfortable. There are 3 rooms in total. 2 have balconies. Ours had a lovely balcony where we sat and drank wine. As mentioned the breakfast was amazing but too much food (and I’m a huge eater). If you’re not a big breakfast person I’d let the hosts know ahead of time. If you don’t you will be guilted into eating everything on your plate. Put it this way...we didn’t need lunch. Breakfast was served at individual tables.
The location is 20 minutes from town. However we loved the walk especially after breakfast. Plenty of wineries nearby. Awesome place we will definitely go back!

We truly enjoyed our stay. Coming all the way from Quebec we didn’t know what to expect. Very clean place, elegant decor, and beautiful gardens. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace or gazebo with a glass of wine.
Breakfast was amazing!! The quality on par with high end restaurants. Joe shared stories with us about his time as an executive chef in fine dining restaurants. He grows his own vegetables and herbs, and even told us how to make our own wine! We will definitely be back.
Sylvia and Emanuel , September 10th - 2021 Amazing place - A place to remember, a place to return!
Junko Nakagawa - Japan, December 29th - 2020 We had been a several times in Niagara on the Lake, when traveling to Toronto on business. It was the best quality and taste breakfast we had in this area. Even the most upscale restaurant did not match with the breakfast Joe prepared for us.
Arigato.
Mitzi - Toronto, September 12th - 2019 "This was our 3rd Labour Day weekend with Maria and Joe at Via Veneto, and it won`t be our last!
If you want to feel spoiled, stay with Maria and Joe when you are in Niagara on the Lake.
The breakfast is a feast to behold and savour.
The house is spotless, and I mean spotless.
The rooms are charming and the beds are oh so comfortable.
The gardens are overflowing with colourful flowers and there is an area outside to sit and enjoy them first hand.
There is also a covered patio off the sitting and dining area for guests.
I like Via Veneto so much,I never consider staying anywhere else.
Stayed September 2011, travelled with friends
Salvatore - Rome, Italy , August 26th - 2019 Where to begin?? It was the most comfortable bed and breakfast I ever stayed at.
After the long trip to Canada I was very pleased to walk into a clean and comfortable house. Maria made us all feel at home the moment we walked in. The best experience of all was the breakfasts. Two wonderful days of gourmet Italian / Mediterranean food. Joe presented us with a delicious tuscan frittata that I will never forget. There were so many fresh fruits to choose from. The tiramisu dessert was unbelievable. There was so much food, my wife and I skipped lunch!
I will recommend Via Veneto to all my friends. All the best to Maria and Joe for being great hosts!!
Jennifer H., August 12th - 2019 What a find!
We ended up at the Via Veneto by accident when another reservation fell through and were we ever lucky that we did. Maria was not only extremely welcoming, but also very helpful in finding us the additional lodging we needed on a very busy summer weekend - not an easy task but she took it as her mission and in less than an hour we could relax and enjoy the rest of our stay. Fabulous.
And yes, the breakfasts are as good as all of the other reviews say they are. We will definitely stay here again.
Joan & John - USA, July 18th - 2019 We can't imagine staying anywhere else but Via Veneto in Niagara on the Lake!! Thank you both for a wonderful experience. We cannot say enough about Joe's culinary talents. We'll be back.
Joyce - DC, July 16th - 2019 Our party of four has been going to Niagara on the Lake for the Shaw Festival for many years and we have stayed at different B&Bs and at the most upscale hotels at different times. But after trying out Via Veneto last summer, we decided this is the place for us from now on and so we returned again this July.
