" UNDER TUSCAN SUN " We just love it! The white stucco house, reddish roof, balconies, fountain in the garden - all of this It reminded us Italy, and the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun." Less than 10 minute walk to Queen St., Via Veneto is ideally located. Giuseppe ( Joe ) is a chef by trade and the breakfasts he prepares are out of this world!! Looking at the photos of his mouth watering creations on the website is only half the satisfaction. We consider Via Veneto to offer the best breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and we stay in many. Truly Italian hospitality. During one of our lovely morning chats, Joe showed us his name and recipes in the book "Chefs of Niagara" where he appeared years ago when working as an executive chef in one of upscale restaurants, and his reward from the Mayor of Niagara. Maria is a hostess extraordinaire, very caring and friendly, simply sweet with a great personality. Thank you, We will be back.

Mamma Mia!! What a wonderful B&B!! What can we say about Maria and Giuseppe that hasn't already been said? Their hospitality was amazing! The rooms were clean and there are no words to describe the extraordinary breakfast that Chef Giuseppe prepares!! We were very happy and would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to experience some Italian charm, awesome hospitality and wonderful food. We are already planning for next year!! Thank you again Maria and Giuseppe for an awesome experience!!

"Great location, food and lovely couple" Due to a late flight we didn't arrive at Via Veneto until nearly midnight, but Maria had stayed up anyway to make sure we had everything we needed ! I had spent a great deal of time on the internet at home to find a B & B that had calm, contemporary decor as opposed to the flowery, chintzy , 'old fashioned' style and Via Veneto did not disappoint. No one can write a review of this B&B without mentioning Joe. What a guy ! So creative with food using fresh ingredients and skills you expect to see in the finest restaurants which is where Joe was a chef for years. Now he delights his guests producing breakfasts so varied, delicate and thoughtful - what a triumph ! The B&B is located a ten minute walk away from the Main Street of NOTL which is a nice walk. We definitely recommend Via Veneto and will never forget the chats we had with Joe and Maria, their lovely rooms and those amazing breakfasts that kept us fulfilled until dinner !

Our party of four has been going to Niagara on the Lake for the Shaw Festival for many years and we have stayed at different B&Bs and at the most upscale hotels at different times. But after trying out Via Veneto last summer, we decided this is the place for us from now on and so we returned again this July.

Wow! We have no words to describe what the amazing experience this has been. We stayed for 2 night on our way to Toronto. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Veranda and garden simply beautiful and inviting, very lovely place for evening rest with glass of wine or cup of tea. Joe your breakfasts where out of this world, even better than those we had when travelling in Europe. How can I describe it - gourmet and heavenly taste with presentation of the most exclusive restaurant. Having eaten in dozen of B&B Via Veneto was by far the very best, simply sensational . We enjoyed our visit very much and we hope to return again some day. PS. Tiramisu was fantastic, thanks for the recipe.

We have returned several times to the same B&B for it is truly a pleasurable experience. The hosts are genuinley hospitable and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The rooms are very tidy and comfortable. The food is truly exceptional. There is nothing you might wish for that is not provided. Fresh, imaginative, succulent, varied, all superlatives that are well deserved. The location is perfect for walking to the Shaw Festival plays, for touring the wineries and enjoying the many activities NOTL offers. Thanks again, Maria and Joe. We shall be back. "This was our 3rd Labour Day weekend with Maria and Joe at Via Veneto, and it won`t be our last! If you want to feel spoiled, stay with Maria and Joe when you are in Niagara on the Lake. The breakfast is a feast to behold and savour. The house is spotless, and I mean spotless. The rooms are charming and the beds are oh so comfortable. The gardens are overflowing with colourful flowers and there is an area outside to sit and enjoy them first hand. There is also a covered patio off the sitting and dining area for guests. I like Via Veneto so much,I never consider staying anywhere else. Stayed September 2011, travelled with friends
